im home again

i just got back home early today morning .. and .. IM  HAP P Y ... to a certain extent ..
Babson is going to send me a reply on the 31st, and that makes me depressed, because it would be messed up if i got rejected on new year's eve. It would be something i have to remember, but i dont want to. However, i don't want to be pessimistic about the matter. My grades for the past term ( the most difficult yet, by a landslide ) are going to be posted on Wednesday, two days :S. hopefully all will turn out good, and life will be as good as ever.

This is new..
i cannot take not driving anymore, i need speed, and the freedom that comes along with a driving permit, (NO DRIVER). 5 more months till i'm 18.

for the moment, all i know is that the weather looks like it will be ok tomorrow (knock on wood), im going to get my mind off of everything, have a blast with the guys on the boat, fishing and maybe wakeboarding if i want to risk freezing my B/-\ /_ /_ Z off. till the next time blog :D.

2nd week into body building

Not long ago, i got off of my not-much-food diet. I had lost around 15 kilos over the duration of the summer, and before i knew it, i went from chubby to skinny. Many people convinced me that with my hight 6'1 feet, it looks quite anorexic. However, i had a plan, i wanted to loose the fat, then build muscle. I started taking NO-XPLODE creatine, and soon going to start taking whey protein. The thing is, being at a boarding school, the selection of foods is not great. Nonetheless, i did start eating quite a lot about a week ago since I'm planning to build muscle. a week ago exactly i started the creatine, and let me tell you people, its magic. It helps you increase you reps, and weight, and energy by the first try. I do however need a sustained source of protein and carbs, whey protein. I am going to start going on it soon, however i am going to go back to doing cardio so i don't gain fat. my weight went from 77 kilos to 80 in a week, partially because of water retention. get back to me in a month to see the change between the willz before the summer and the present willz at the time. :-D

red cross headquarters

I went to the red cross headquarters in geneva today. It wasn't because im a stranger to the country, but a school field trip :P. It is a serious eye opener on many issues in the world. stupid me, i forgot to take my camera. Nonetheless, there were two things that caught my attention. As soon as you go into the museum, the passage changes into two concrete walls on your right and left hand side to about 12 meters high, and with a distance of 4 meters between them. The walls are supposed to resemble the walls put up around the world between countries (israel and palestine) as an example. After you pass that passage, you are welcomed by the sculptures (above). its of real life size figures of men with their faces wrapped (resembling the fact that they cannot see or act), and their hands tied behind their backs. The whole courtyard is glass so you can see the crescent and the cross along with those figures. The second thing that shocked me was a room built out of concrete bricks, about 3x2 meters, that once held 17 men captive, some for as long as 3 months. honestly take a second and thank whoever you believe in for how good you live, no matter how bad you think it is.

Beirut for new year's

I've booked and planned my trip to beirut for the new year's (christmas break). I'm going with a couple of friends, looking forward, however i am slightly worried about the planning. The way i see it, if i don't plan something myself, it wont go good. If you happen to be a local, please share some ideas, even if you're not but have been there several times.

anyone got 121,904.40KD to spare?

This untamable beast (BRABUS BULLIT based on mercedes c-class) runs for a little more than 120k KD. It has a similar engine to (my dream car) the C63, however with a biturbo kit. it generates 720HP, gets to a 100km/h in 3.9 seconds, and is capable of reaching speeds over 360km/h. i am completely awed to be honest, with a tiny crack in my heart (heartbroken). however even if i had the money, it is a little toooo expensive, lets face it. However just take a look at the re-styling from the inside. MY GOD

back in switzerland

i got back from kuwait two days ago, and its feeling like its been ages. I was the one to decide i wanted to go to a boarding school in switzerland, specifically this one since i have been to the summer camp. The first year was a blast, i don't remember a thing from it. The second year was slightly tiring. However my third, last, and senior year is proving to be a workload. i just completed my applications to the US universities, and for Babson and Bentley, all what matters is the grading period that just passed (which i did relatively good in). Should i completely stop working, should i consider this grading period the last, or should i go on trying in case i did not get accepted to neither of those and need regular acceptance. Im not sure, however im quite sure that im tired of missing my friends, family, and life back in kuwait. Im sick of working my ass off, although the time is infact going by quick. I already miss the people though, and just for the record, i only took my boat out once that week, and did not eat texas fries, which i am paying for at the moment with my hungry belly :D.
miss you guys..!

biodegradable usb stick?

what's happening to the world's inventors? running out of ideas?
"It's far from the first company to attempt to make a more environmentally-friendly flash drive, but given the near disposable nature of them these days, that's not exactly a bad thing. This latest drive from Hong Kong-based Hoshino also takes a decidedly different approach than other drivesthat simply keep the hazardous chemicals and whatnot to a minimum, with it actually constructed out of polylactide (or PLA) made from corn that is, technically, biodegradable. The downside is that in order for it to be broken down, PLA needs to be blasted with heat for ten days on end at a specialized facility, which isn't exactly the most direct route back into the ground, or an accessible option for everybody at the moment (there's also the small matter of it being based on a food product). The drive also apparently isn't available to the general public just yet, but companies interested in doing business with Hoshino can contact 'em for more details."

my new crib

Im in the process of designing everything in my room from the interior to the electronics going into it. so i figure what better way to keep track than writing about on my blog. I'm going to design everything using the floor plans which i will have as soon as i get back home. also, i will be using a freeware program called sweet home 3D.
first step, the screens !
i think the best size for my room would be a 50-52 inch, positioned slightly low to the ground to give its value you see.
LC-52D64U (sharp)---- the good thing about this screen is that its one of the thinnest if not the very thinnest
PDP-LX508D (panasonic)---- however, this screen, has won multiple awards from several magazines so..!

ALSO

i want the NU WTW154 wireless TV, to put in my shower!

GOOD IDEA EH ?:P
until the next time, where i will complete the floor plans, and get to the surround system/speakers and the rest of the entertainment

Aim One

I recently realized that i havnt been paying too much attention to what i would like to get to do. I have been trying my best to work hard in school, and even though its paying off, for now, i do it cause i want my father to be proud of his eldest son, i want him to feel that he has raised a man he can depend on in anything at all. It is the least i can do for the great life and opportunities he let me have, not to do with money at all, because i know that money cannot buy you happiness but short term pleasure. However he does it by giving me an aim in life, and all the psychological, intellectual,  and emotional backup i need.
back to my main point, i want to start thinking of what i would like to do.

This post is dedicated to aim 1 :-
1) racing a Mclaren F1, or an Mv agusta, or a ferrari 599 gtb fiorano on the Nürburgring

Disappointment

i must say, i am very disappointed with the new macs. they are not that different in looks first of all, not to forget that half of the stylings are taken from the air (already thought up). Second of all, the specifications are not MAGICAL, they are not that different fro what you can get on the old macbooks. i would of thought it would be twice as slim, and twice as powerful or something, but apple is running out of idea unfortunately!
the ONLY reason i might get it, is with the release of a new mac software..!

the world of finance

At first, i heard this happens once every 7 years or so, but the recession is getting me worried about several things. First of all, do i really want to major in accounting and finance still? many of the biggest companies are (esp banks) are declaring bankrupcy, and that does not make me happy! This is sadly effecting the middle eastern stock markets as well, emarr, one of the greatest companies in based in the UAE had their share go down 62% in the past week, worth a low 5.2$ or so. Im not into the risky game yet, but because it is the future of kuwait and dubai, i was planning to! whats the getaway ? watching the stock market all in red is not particularly fun, and when the overrated USA pumps 700$ billion for liquidity, i begin to worry.
however i must say, shopping on american websites has been a laugh, its basically like having a sale on EVERYTHING. other than that though,

13.10.08

home soon

im going home very soon and there are several things i felt i needed to do
1) meet friends and family
2) take my boat out at least 3 times
3) eat texas fries at chilies

i cannot begin to explain how excruciating it is to sit on on of lufthansa's economy seats but, at least im going to be home for about 8 days, which is always good :D.

p.s. the piece of artwork posted is not mine :D

new watch for me? graduation gift :D

I really like watches as its one of the very little accessories men have.
i usually go by this checklist when choosing a watch.
a) is it bulky and masculine (its the it thing now u c :P)
b) make sure its black, fav color
c) try it on, does it feel good
now as my father told me my graduation gift would be a watch, im going to have to make a decision between 3 that i havnt ever tried on but seem amazing. Keep in mind however, ive got no clue what the budget is. PROBABLY, i can get one of these, the cheapest (porsche)! cause the rest are much more expensive ! :P
1) BLACK porsche  p'6612 vhronograph pac

2) BLACK.. brietling proffesional aerospace

  3) BLACK Rolex
daytona chronograph

NOW..... i gotta find a way my dad would see this page, i cant go up to him and be bold about it you see, hed give me a slap and say shame on you for having hope.!  :P kidding, i know he will get me the porsche one, but im getting my hopes up :P

I hate the Ib

to anyone that may come over this post before making the choice that could mess up your life for good, DO NOT TAKE THE IB...
the advantages might lead you to think man.. how can this not be the right choice for my future, and your right, the IB will get you to places at a level better than the AP program, and the A levels. However the requirments that come with it are immense. All im going to do is post the link for you to understand, but words cannot describe how much work i have. i have been sacrificing my weekends for the past month now, and i must say my grades are turning out to be better than ever, however, at the cost of me being constantly unhappy. I know i used to be a guy thats always smiling and making jokes simply to make the people around me smile and feel ebtter. That is gone, by being here and working my ass off. and keep in mind, 2 people have failed from last year's senior class made up of 55 students, because of plagiarism in a useless thing called the extended essay. Not to forget the annoying TOK classes, and the taunting CAS hours.
a list of what i need to complete:
- extended essay, 4000 words, (they cant be BS)
- math portfolio (design a math project 2000 words)
- Business coursework (find a problem in a business and suggest solutions 2000 words)
- college applications (im not gonna start counting)
- TOK essay ( a stupid class u have to take called theory of knowledge 1500 words)
- TOK presentation
- AND all the homework and tests i need to do and study for .. on average
- 1000 words in english lit a week
- 500 in arabic a week
- 1000 in geography a week
- each weekend i have community service for CAS

therefore when i say i miss home, that means i miss having to do nothing :D

new audi..RS5

Theres been talk about a new audi, one that i will love quite a lot. The thing is, when i started the search for a car id love, i though about the S5 audi, or the M3 BMW, or the C63 MERC. However the real competition was between the M3 and the C63 since they had 400-450 bhp, while the S5 lurked down in the 350 range. I'm not looking to race my car, however, i want it to be exciting! Now onto the main point of this post. not so long ago, i picked up car magazine, and it has a whole section on the upcoming RS5. There isn't any information given for sure, however. Since the S6 had a V10 lambo engine, and the RS6 got a twin turbo to top that, many expect the RS5 to get that same twin turbo and all the jazz on the V8 engine. I will most definitely put it back on my list of cars, and take of the M3. Although the M3 is a true marvel, its interior is too boring to deal with everday. Unlike the C63 or the technology you get with the Audi, not to mention a Bang & Olufsen surround system.
PLEASE MAKE THIS COME TRUE AUDI!!

Amman

(above) love that place ..!!
I go to amman, jordan every summer, and sometimes during the year. Its cause i have some family from my mom's side, and because we have been doing so since i was wee kid. however this summer, after three years of construction, out house in abdoun is all ready. its a beautiful place to be even, if it as just putting up the music, BBQ, pool, some drinks and friends over. thats not the point, thing is this year i enjoyed being their quite alot, i got to meet some nice people, and i got to see the better side of the (na3am yaabaa?). deffinetly going for a while during my senior vacation. and MOST DEFIANTLY going to distant heat this time.
places to go:
-kanabaye -chesters (le royale) -viewpoint -myth -courtyard
-Nai -living room -sofa lounge -blue fig -buddha bar

summertime

i dont feel homesick very often, however, this summer was an experience i'm going to find a hard time to forget. several things happened that made me want the summer to last forever. First of all, i met the most amazing person yet. second of all, i got to do what i want, partied a bit, met with some friends in dubai, and spent loooaads of time on the water. now that im looking back at some of the videos and picutres, i really miss the days where i can do whatever the hell i want and NOT STAY INN FOR THE WEEKENDS.....WOORRKKING...
just thought i might share that

miss FOOD

I know that kuwait is considered one of the world's fattest nations, but I'm beginning to see it otherwise. Its true that when there nothing to do in kuwait (all the time) people resort to food, thus becoming enormous. However fasting ramadan here has made me realize, we do have quite a nice selection of restaurants. As i mentioned before, i keep on craving certain things when I'm fasting, today, its chili's texas fries. its safe to say that there's isn't a proper place to eat in switzerland, other than the english pubs full of english rugby lovers, and even then, they are terrible. By chance, i came upon a dominos pizza place around june, first day of the euro cup, however the price of a pizza was ridiculous. i paid the equivalent of  8.5 KD for a medium size pizza, and it wasn't that amazing. so i just felt like sharing the thoughts of appreciation to the fat society back at home.

my dream car

as i mentioned before, I'm quite in love with cars, and speed in general. And now that I'm not so far off to getting my driving license. i started narrowing down my search (very tough to do). This is not the car I'm going to get for university or anything like that, its the car i would love to have. The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. Take a handcrafted 6.3 liter V8, and put it one of the sexiest cars ever created. the sporty AMG body kit and wheels, along the overwhelmingly luxurious interior. I WANT THAT BADLY !

new lens

Im a big fan of photography. And since its by far the only "ART" i do, i try my best at it, and give it all the time i can ! however i have had my nikon D80 for about 6 months now, and am getting used to it a little too much. Im thinking of i investing in a new lens.
( 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC for Nikon  )
I think a big factor for me not taking that many pictures lately, is due to me beingextremely busy with school work. I do however need to start taking more photographs, with plans of going to  nearby bridge tonight and taking some street blend pics.. :D

This Is House Music

David Vendetta Feat. (Rachel Starr)-Bleeding Heart
I think i have an obsession with house music. I simply adore the beat, even though some of you oldies lovers would say there are no lyrics, no really instrument, and sometimes no real voices. However, everyone's got their own type of music, and this is what i love most. I tried out to be the school DJ two years ago in a DJ competition, knowing very little about it. However, because i had killer music, i wont and got the chance to play at my school several times, and at the local clubs and lounges. heres a playlist of some new titles from this summer, that may interest the house lovers out there.

1) Infinity 2008 (Klaas Vocal Edit)-Guru Josh Project
2) Wash My World (feat. Eric Carter)-Laurent Wolf
3) Shine On (Radio Mix)-R.I.O
4) Grand Canyon (Dirty South Mix)-Tracey Thorn
5) Wearing my rolex (radio edit)-Wiley
6) Domino-oxia
7) I Don't Feel Like Dancin' (Linus Loves Mix - DJ Mix)-Scissor Sister's
8) They way (Hype mix)-Klaas
9) What I Want (Club Mix)-Bob Sinclar & Fireball
10) Watch Out (feat. Shena)-Alex Gaudino
11) Keep on rising-Posh funks
12) No stress-Laurent wolf
13) The Things You Say (Dirty South Remix)-Cicada
14) Rock On (Mondo Remix)-DJ tom
15) let it go (radio edit)-Dirty South

water sports

I LOVE WAKEBOARDING .. it is simply my thing, being on the water, and having all the time i need to learn each step, between me, myself, and i, and not have a coach giving me orders. This picture (above) was taken the summer of 2007, and since then, i got much better. Looking back at those pictures however got me thinking, how come the only majorly practiced sports in kuwait are things like football? We have a great resource, the sea. My getaway in kuwait is getting in my boat with some friends and having a blast, because other than that, i will only be up to no good sitting at home getting fatter by the second.
i would like to make this official, i would give lessons to whoever is interested in the sports, I'm thinking of opening up a business, call it, water sports. My speciality is (sailing, kiteboarding, wakeboarding, waterskiing, mono-skiing) . i would increase my fleet, from currently having one boat, to maybe 3. And little by little we would get new things to Kuwait, like parasailing, and so on. however, i would like to get some input and insight to whether there's anyone at all interested in watersport and cannot get access?

IM STARVING!

I am muslim, its a fact, and im extremely proud and happy by it. However, its the holy month of ramadan, and at the moment, all i can think of is food. I havn't had anything to eat or drink for 24 hours now, for the following reasons. (in order)
- maghrib prayers start at 8pm (approx.)
- no good food at school, the last time i ate was yesterday maghrib prayers.
now the problem is, here, i have a full day, wake up at 7, and need to stay up and healthy all through the day. and to be quiet honest, all i can think of, is this W A R M glazed krispy kreame donught ..... AAAH
                                                                       10 mins to go :)
